I got picks, here we go:
Arvay, a surreptitious view of everyday life. I like the upwards looking perspective, crop, and tones turning the ordinary into extraordinary.
glooscap, I like all the straight edge angular shadows and their granularity along with the amorphous blob shadow of the subject in the open space.
tennis-joe, I've seen a lot of birds on a wire photos, even taken a few myself and wish this were mine. It may be the best I've looked at, I especially like the one wire that all the birds avoided and as Simon said the one on the CCTV camera.
lynnb, two variations on a theme. Still at a loss about which of the two I like best both exemplify the beauty to be found in light surrounding simple objects.
OurManInTangier, staying with this portrait long enough, the depth of it tells the whole story.
maenju, love the clouds reflected in the flooded rice paddies, and the progression of tones throughout.
That's all folks.

Thanks Semrich for your kind remarks. I could not believe the shot when it came out. The remark about the little Chap on the CCTV antenna was great.

I have been short on time this week so I didn't get a chance to go through the gallery. Some excellent photographs again which is always great to see. It seems that fewer people are participating with the Picks. We used to have 3 pages quite often. Jim
