Hey,
I'm wondering if someone CONUS would be willing to loan me a tool to install a MP style lever on my M7--not my ala carte. It's the tool that has two prongs on the tip--the screw has two holes on the surface. I'd be willing to pay shipping both ways next day service so you'd have your tool back soon. I have the lever and screw, just need a tool to install.

If no-one has such a tool to loan, can someone direct me to where I might purchase one? I check micro-tools and didn't find anything.

Thanx--Bill

Tools are sold by Mr Zhou (of Zhou's cases fame) on eBay. Just search 'Leica tool' or similar. They aren't cheap. £30 for the one you are referring to I think, or £50 for a full set of wrenches.

i have a set of flexi clamps you can borrow. i think they will work for all of the levers on the M bodies.
PM me an address and i'll send them out.

On this subject. I have a RF Vertical alignment "wrench" (M6 and later) if anyone needs to borrow it. Sorry OP I don't have the tool you seek.

I use my spanner wrench to get that one out. You don't really need a "special tool" I bet you could use a fork and knife to get it out (insert laughs here______). But seriously, a butter knife inside to turn that forked sprocket and bend two prongs on a fork to hold it in place. I did that on my M2 and it worked fine. I used the spanner wrench and butter knife later on though and it was easier. I'd lend you mine, but I'm in the middle of moving to a new country.
