Just tried it here. Do you have a pop-up blocker turned on? It pops up a new window, asking you for your Yahoo ID (Flickr is now owned by Yahoo).

57 here. We'll get you sorted.

I give up on Flickr.

My friend who is quite a computer buff tried yesterday for two hours to get into the site, no luck so I give up.

My Super Ikonta is on the way back from being recovered over in CA, she will look great in the new clothes I picked out for her.

I am also welding up an aluminum flash bracket for the camera, it will allow me to hold the bracket in my right hand, my finger will still be able to focus, I looked all over the place but saw nothing that came close to my own idea, so I am making it, welded up the angle bar for the shoe, the shoe will have to be screwed up or riveted onto the angle bar, no way of welding aluminum to steel. The handle will be pine wood round, so light in weight. Anyhow, I will show pictures when all done. I have a feeling that a lot of you will want to recover your old folder's soon. Mine was way too slippery, I was frightened of dropping it and "GRIPTAC" was the way to go.

As mentioned above, Flikr is pretty simple/straight forward to access and use. You may have to become a Yahoo member to utilize join it. I've had a Yahoo addy for over decade since I would deploy to the Big Sand Box so the wife and I could have daily contact. Check your e-mails to see if you've recieved a message saying your sign up was successful.

You do realize that some poor soul is going to read your post and be put off from Flickr for life aren't you?

Not to be rude here, but if you can't use Flickr, you probably shouldn't be using a computer.

My own Flickr account? 500.000 hits and counting.

OK lad's a spelling error but honestly when I click into sign up, the page shows DONE but it is a total blank. My mate tried to get in via facebook and he still got the blank page. I have looked for a contact email but there is nothing.

OH and another thing regarding sign up for flicker, if I click on sign in that page also comes up blank.

I am addicted to Flickr. I get up in the morning and open a few tabs in my web browser. Google Reader, Twitter, WSJ, and Flickr. I spend the most time on the latter.

1. What browser are you using?

2. Which version?

3. Search online about how to enable "javascript" for your browser (see question 1 and 2)

4. On the blank page, hold Ctrl-key and click on F5 at the same time. The browser should reload the page ignoring what it thinks is in the cache. See if it shows something different this time.

5. Do you live where flickr is banned probably?

Again, it's flickr. Your last post misspelled it again. Also, unlike lots of sites, flickr's logo is not a hotlink. Oh, man, could I ever use a hotlink sandwich for lunch!

I really think you should try using a computer. The Super Ikonta, flash brackets and welding are not the way to go. I'd check the typos first

I think facebook, and photo.net are banned where I work. That is a possibility.

Children use flickr... just sayin'

edit: You should update your browser software. The problem lies in either your software being (very) outdated, or your network is slow and/or has banned these popular time wasting websites. Also, I would recommend finding a new computer friend.

Something else is the issue, not flickr. The issues may include very very old PC, browser setting, network settings, no flash software on the PC, or the fact that it is a PC (anything with win* is a suspect imho - it may open anything and everything (viruses/malwares) except what you want(flickr)).

Call in some technical support. Someone in your office who does IT. I can help but I will charge a M9 for 15 minutes. :)

Just another Flickr thought - seems like there is a constant stream of companies (news, etc) being sued for using images on Flickr without permission, violating copyrights. When companies are looking for an image to use, Flickr is one of the first places they look. I stopped putting my images there for that reason. Sure, they can swipe your images from just about anywhere, but it's much more likely on Flickr.
