Except the 1st photo (which looks kind of pastel like especially on his face, maybe the scanning?), the other 2 came out pretty well. That middle one (3 guys) is just awesome. I kind of like your agitation routine.

And this is out past 6400, close to 8000 going of my lightmeter, this was around 80-90 minutes same process as above.

These are absolutely wonderful, I can't believe that 2nd one was shot at 8000!! Too bad I don't have rodinal.

I did somewhat the same as you guessing at an exposure which I metered after the fact. Likewise it was closer the 3200, actually a 1/3 of a stop beyond, call it 4000.

I processed in Rodinal 1:100 but went 90 minutes instead of 60. I also agitated very gently for 10 seconds at the 30 and 60 minute marks.

Like this one too, I am kind of getting the feeling that rodinal might be the answer to "really" push this film "and" get good results.

Lol, I wish I was as carefree. Problem is, I have just started to develop on my own and want to keep it a little scientific if I can, until I develop my own unscientific methods. 🙂
 
I've pushed Tri-X with Rodinal, and if you have it handy it's definitely great.

However, I've had better results with Donald Quall's Super Soup pushing in the range of 3200-6400. I have some examples here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/matt/tags/supersoup/

Compared to Rodinal stand, I found super soup had better contrast control and finer grain. Also took a lot less time!

Sure I can.

For 120 films, Tri-X 400 @ 3200 in T-max-Dev 1+4, 24 degrees, first minute continuous moving, then every minute 3 times, 14 minutes.

For 120 films, Tri-X 400 @ 6400 in T-max-Dev 1+4, 24 degrees, first minute continuous moving, then every 30 sec 2 times, 25 minutes.

For 35mm it should be the same, but I haven't tried it yet.

Excellent photos ChrisP, esp the guitar ones and the 4th one in the last set (lovely reflections).

I am about to develop my roll this evening, will post comments tonight and results tomorrow.

just for fun I developed a TRI-X in HC-110 dil G some years ago....
good results but I don't remember about time....
I need to check...
 
Negatives came out great, there are at least a 3rd of usable photos if not more..will post some scans tomorrow. 😛
