Doesn't your Autocord have a sports finder in the hood? It's been a while since I owned one, so I don't remember. My Roleiflex E has a hood that has a sports finder, as well as a little mirror so you can focus it while holding the camera up to your eye like a SLR. The image is upside down, but no big deal as you're just using it to focus, not frame.
I tried all sorts of things on my TLR's, including putting a prism on the models that had interchangeable hoods. Finally gave that idea up as it made the camera too top heavy. For me, the simplest solution is to simply use the sports finder for portraits, as long as you make the necessary guesstimate corrections for parallax if you're up close to your victim. If you're concerned about framing accuracy, get a 'flex that takes a prism (or mount one on your 'cord as Dan did). While a prism certainly makes the camera a little unbalanced and heavier, it gives you the best results for image framing and focus accuracy.
