Is this lens usable at wide open for sharpiah Portraits? The seller is asking $550, is that a good price? The lens is in original superb condition with case and finder. Focus heavy but blades clean. I need help to decide. Experiences and opinions are most welcome.

I have one. Mine is sharp wide-open. I love it. Heavy focus is normal, it's a characteristic of the lens. The lens is heavy. $550 with a finder and case is a good price. Buy it and sell the finder and case if you don't need them.

I suppose it depends on condition and what's included in the deal. I paid a lot more for mine last time.

I love using my 85/1.5 on the EP-2. It gives very pleasing images wide open. Price is OK.

Seems like a decent price to me, probably cheaper than one might find on eBay. The finder is a bonus.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I will give it a go. The shop has a 15day return policy. Any favorite images to share?

I uploaded recently a few snapshots that I have taken with the Olympus EP-2 and the Canon 85mm/1.5 at 1.5.

Thank you, Andy. I like this lens a lot. I also have a 75mm 1.4 Summilux, but I kept the Canon.
