Leica M3 exposure problem

Got Dad's old Leica M3. Generally works great but on occasion (not always) have a few non-consecutive pics on the roll turn out exactly like this. Black stripe, sometimes haziness across the frame, sometimes not. What gives? Bottom of Grand Canyon by the way.

Shutter issue? Looks like a curtain is sticking.

Thanks. That was as much of a clue as I needed to figure this out, but some searching shows it does seem to fit. Guess it needs some adjustment after sitting untouched in a drawer the last 40 years. Even so, 90% of the pics look great. Got 35/2 and 50/2 lenses as well.
