Three Cheers for the RFF...

Threads like this pop up from time-to-time. I think it must have something to do with stars and planets or something since it is a worldwide phenomenon. I agree, however, so it's fine.
Joe, is that fresh made ice cream from one of the vendors at that food market you like?
If so, I'm on line.

a pat on the back is fine on occasion as long as it's all kept in perspective.

most forums that i visit have threads like this also...

as far as that ice cream...we have some mighty fine ice cream parlours in town...mighty fine...

Hanging here (mostly reading, not many posts under my belt yet...) made me buy an M4. I totally love it, my wife wasn't quite as convinced. Until she saw the prints :D

Seriously great place, I check in almost every day - even though I mostly stay invisible. The people here has helped me be more serious with my photography. In a good way, not a pretentious way. :) Love you guys (and gals)

Agreed, I really enjoy RFF. I've met some terrific people.

On the "we love RFF" subject I think the bartender should think of making some gear, hats or t-shirts for example. I have a RFF hat from the previous bartender and it's pretty cool, I think others might spring for some stuff.

God knows the soft releases went in a hurry. Just an idea.

Kent

PS- If the bartender is interested I know people who can whip things up quite reasonably (they do fight and pro sports merchandise).

I'm out taking photos, posting this with my iPhone while getting a bite to eat, go figure! I agree with all the comments and will add that I can see by how my photography has changed and improved since joining here. Changed from digital to film, to developing and printing, and somehow I've ended up with a lot more gear some of which will see some use as soon as I press submit on this.

I would add that people are the same everywhere, so this forum being so nice and interesting, so supportive to nice people and intolerant to the intolerants, have surely something to do with the moderation.

Thumbs up, and thanks to the mods.

What I have learned

What I have learned

I have learned:

  1. The meaning of GAS.
  2. RFF is a good representation of everything Human.
  3. That I am not the only person suffering from GAS.
  4. Censorship can be beneficent.
  5. Wen asking questions you shall be given answers
  6. One does not have to be talented to enjoy cameras.
  7. The cyclic nature of threads.
  8. Not to get upset if you don't get a buzzilion comments on your Flick'r from your RFF link.
  9. Gas can be controlled but never cured.
  10. I must tear myself away from this computer and get going :D

Thank you all.

Love it: Best place for rangefinder-photography (not too surprising, huh?). Not as acroamatic as some Leica-forums.

Just a nice place to be.

Where else can one say they tape their Leica and not get chuckles from their friends? Ok, Ok, I hear someone in the back row...
