Anyone given any thought to what cameras they're going to use to record the Rapture? Assuming you don't expect to be part of it, that it. Or maybe even if you do.
If you haven't the faintest idea what I'm talking about, check Family Radio Network, www.familyradio.com or http://blogs.reuters.com/faithworld...lical-predicting-may-21-doomsday-to-watch-it-
Probably I'll just stick with a Leica and 35 Summilux.
Cheers,
R.

I believe that only pinhole cameras will be acceptable. Something to do with "the eye of a needle".

I'm already going to hell for a street shot I took last week.
I saw this guy who was very much outa place. He looked to be a corn farmer from Iowa, and he was holding a sign promoting the end of the world that demanded that I repent for all my sins. The location was the subway station at 68th and Lex. Right behind him were wrought iron bars and the sign for the "Downtown 6" train near the stairs.
I only had one shot left on the roll of my Leica with a 35/1.8 Nikkor and Fuji Arcos at 100 ISO. The shot came out great. See you in hell.

You might want to use some of that Fuji instant film. I have it on good authority that there will be no 1 hr labs in Heaven. In fact, a special section of hell is reserved for their operators. Everyone that works there will have a magenta or green skin color.

I'm wondering about the shutter-speed necessary. I mean is this rapture and ascent a high-speed vertical motion, or more sort of waft-y, like an upwards snowflake ?

Hilarious, Steve!
As far as Post-Rapture, I plan on using an evil-SLR. Nothing captures evil like evil. You know, it's kind of like the brilliant stroke of J. Edgar Hoover running the F.B.I.

There is some sort of apocalypse in the coming future, but its not at all as dramatic and cool as the biblical rapture, its far more boring, slow and painful:

So what happens, the day after the great Rupture, and everything is still OK? I know this is highly unlikely, but what if?
If you ask these freaks to sign over all their stuff to you, so you take possession the day after the Rupture they won't do it. I think they are hedging their bets.
Such is the nature of religion I guess.

Deep down they all know they're absolutely out of their minds.

I'll be using my Rolleiflex 6006 for color (most likely Ektar 100) and my Leica for B&W (probably Tri-X). Already have a few choice sites picked out to capture the rapture in all its' glory.

Yeah, OK, but what happens when you find out all the people at the lab got Ruptured and now you can't get your Ektar processed......what then??I'll be using my Rolleiflex 6006 for color (most likely Ektar 100) and my Leica for B&W (probably Tri-X).
