Why does the shutter speed display so blurry?

Just got me a used M8. When I look through the view finder, I noticed that the shutter speed display LED is very blurry. At the same time, the focusing RF patch in the center of the VF is clear and sharp.

I tried to google online but don't get the information I need. Please advise why this happens and how to adjust it?

P.S. since the RF patch and focusing looks clear, I assume the eye piece of the VF should be fine, am I right? (I do have a -1.0 and a -1.5 correction lenses if it's necessary to replace the eye piece.)

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif] update: I did put on the -1.0 and -1.5 correction lenses to try but didn't see any improvement of the shutter speed readout. I also put on a pair of glass and that didn't help either...

Yellow patch? My RF patch is not yellow on either of my Leica digitals, it's quite clear and bright. A bit cool, actually.

Anyways, it sounds like the prism that reflects the meter readings might be off kilter a bit.

If your RF and VF are otherwise clear and the camera makes sharp images at your plane of intended focus then it's cool but the meter is still something that should be addressed. That would bug the hell out of me.

Yeah, Phil, the patch is clear. I feel it's a bit yellowish in color, so decide to call it yellow patch :) Hope I don't confuse you folks here.

I think the focus is fine, both looking through the VF or checking the photo on the computer. It's just the shutter speed LED is so blurry... kind of annoying and it's the info I really want to have in mind before click the shutter to the end. :(

Any idea to fix this?

I borrowed an M8.2 which had a similar problem. Luckily I was in Palm Springs, so I could pop into the Camera West store near my hotel. Consensus at the store was that the numbers should appear sharp, as should the RF patch in the middle. I tested it next to another M8 and M9, and they both had sharp letters. This is something that can be remedied, I am unsure of the cost.

Thank you guys. [FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]I did put on the -1.0 and -1.5 correction lenses to try but didn't see any improvement of the shutter speed readout. I also put on a pair of glass and that didn't help either...

Maybe I'd better go to a local store to compare with other M8/9 to see how bad this one blurs. Contacted Leica NJ today, not surprisingly the M8 is out of warranty... Maybe have to be prepared paying couple of hunderd $$$... :(
