12575 lens hood

Can some one tell me if the 12575 lens hood splits and takes a filter like the 12504, and if so what size of filter is it?

It doesn't come apart, or I should say it's not supposed to. If you try hard enough you can unscrew the front from the mount but there isn't really any way to get a filter attached to it.

It won't need to unscrew or whatever. The 12575 (and the 12585, and the 12502, and maybe others as well) leave enough space between the hood and the lens to fit a normal-thickness filter. So unless you need two filters or want to use a polarizer, you can just clip the hood over the filter, and it'll be in the same spot as without a filter.
