So, I'm sitting in the SFO airport having just come off a commuter flight from home. The United Airlines June 2011 in-flight magazine featured a write-up on "three retro-futuristic digital cameras". The three cameras were the Fujifilm X100, Olympus PEN E-PL2, and the Leica MP.
Leica MP a digital camera, huh?
The MP write-up reads: "With the M7 and MP classic models, Leica already had a nearly perfect camera, but its new a-la-carte program lets users customize the color, leather finish, and controls for easier picture-taking".
And no, they don't mean the rumored M9-P, the picture shows a 0.72 MP in blue leather.

Yes, yes. Not everyone knows as much about Leicas as we do.

Wow, now I can happily buy a MP, knowing that it will have all the charm of film and the benefits of digital. Thanks, in-flight magazine.

I may break down and buy a Leica after all. You guys missed it focusing on film versus digital. Didn't you see that about customizing the leather? That's a breakthrough!!!

wow, just imagine being able to CHANGE THE LEATHER on your camera, absolutely fantastic. I bet this could even become a business!

I'd be interested to know which colour leather provides an easier picture-taking experience. Any opinions on this?

No, it's an inflight magazine...not exactly the Fifth Estate.
