Often things don't go as planned at weddings - even the best laid plans can go awry. Let's see your photos at weddings where things didn't exactly work out as expected, or where there was unintended humour.

I'll kick this off with a family wedding I attended as a guest. I think the hired photographers guaranteed good results. Only problem was, no-one but the hired photographers got to see the ceremony... somewhere behind all this there's a bride and groom!

My sister-in-law would have punched his 24-70mm through his eye socket if the photographer turned up on her wedding day in a T shirt and jeans. God bless her!

I do not go to many weddings, but I have never seen a clown with a camera have the nerve to stand in front blocking the view of everyone.

I guess people need to become educated as to what to contract for from the people they hire just as the the reverse is true. Decent grooming and dress would be one.

Problem is brides do this one time and the pros look out only for their own interests. Of course part their own interests should be referrals which they will not get.

I'll kick this off with a family wedding I attended as a guest. I think the hired photographers guaranteed good results. Only problem was, no-one but the hired photographers got to see the ceremony... somewhere behind all this there's a bride and groom!

In the UK a lot of vicars and private wedding registrars ban photography during the service for this very reason. It gets totally out of hand.

The first two put me in a very bad way...How could they do that??? Are people really this unaware of others in the room???
Now the second picture of the happy couple...that one put me back on track...would have loved to seen the next few shots...

yeah you can just just imagine the reaction from the assembled friends and family. One of those treasured memories you'll never forget and captured forever on film.

We should probably change the title of the thread to include NSFW. I got a peculiar look from a co-worker when I scrolled down to that image. I was on my lunch break so internet was totally fair game, but I think the boobs were a little inappropriate. Funny. Just not at work. I'm still waiting to see what my boss says tomorrow, if anything... Maybe just a heads up for anyone perusing the site during working hours on a non-personal computer.

Very few threads have pictures of women's breasts like that. I didn't say it was a problem. I just said it was unexpected and a warning would be appropriate. It would be the same if a small kid was sitting next to my computer or my mother-in-law was in the room and I pulled it up. It's just awkward and I don't think my idea or request to have a heads-up is unreasonable.

Figures I'd get some negative feedback on that, though...

Matthewm, I have no idea what photos people are going to post to a thread! I opened the thread with a photo that showed rude and insensitive behaviour by some so-called professional wedding photographers/videographers (they shot both). Any thread can have pictures posted to it, at any time, that are NSFW.
Ranchu - the balding guy on the right was also taking video. The whole thing was unbelievable. As a wedding shooter, I was disgusted. Guests spent the entire ceremony gazing at their backs and craning their necks to get a glimpse of the bride and groom. Mostly without success. I had my LX3 and took these pictures because I couldn't believe what I was seeing - and not seeing.
