Canon LTM Canon 7 + Canon 50mm f0.95 Some Film test~

Yes I will have remorse !

I decided I just don't use it enough to justify it when I want to buy another piece of gear. This lens is finally coming into its own after many years of insufficient respect.

same here, to be honest. I use mine very very once in a while, and every now and then I feel like selling it... but I don't know, I've sold one once and regretted it. but it's indeed hard to justify keeping a lens that is rarely used. I have been shooting 35mm mostly and have been favouring more compact lenses lately, which doesn't help...

this morning i put my 0.95 on my M4 which came from a cla and rf adjustment, this thread had an influence on this 🙂 the 0.95 was converted and adjusted by ken ruth to match this body, before it was front focusing a bit (due to rf off), been a while I don't go out with this combo...

Hi Kevin,
You might want to consider moving up to using 400 or 800 ISO film. That will get your shutter speeds up, making the lens more handholdable. I would imagine it is a beast to hold steady at 1/15. 1/125th- much better 😀

Nice pics. Your lens shows what is made for, good pictures in poor light.
I must admit that it takes about 10 to 30 secs. to focus any of my RFs when shooting at night (not to say an SLR!, that´s far worse). So, don´t worry, just enjoy it!

BTW, Kevin, your picture of your Canon 7sz in the other thread looks great with the 0.95. I like using mine on an M3, but it looks much bigger than on the Canon! It is not so bad on the M8/M9. Below is a picture of mine on the M3, for comparison.

Seems to be like to me the "ultimate" vintage fast lens and looker on a M3 😀

Wish I could see what it looks like with the factory hood on it too.....it does take a bit of the VF out doesn't it? - Nothing a SBOOI or a factory Canon 50 finder wouldn't cure 🙂

After seeing this I so want to continue to plan my M3-6 FRANKENLEICA build, just have been finding it impossible to find a "donor" user chrome M6 classic, seems no one has one for sale out there......?

a vented hood must help with the flare, it can be strong in some situations. i've never used any hood on mine and so far havent felt a big need for one, worst case scenario it comes out like this:
