I recently picked up a 35mm 2.8 that came with the case, viewfinder, and rear cap, but unfortunately not the front push-on cap. From what I've heard it'd be a 36mm cap, but I'm not having any luck finding a genuine Canon one anywhere (except for one currently listed on eBay - for $110. No thanks), and I could always pick up a cheap plastic generic one from B&H, but I'd rather have the real deal (or at least something chrome that looks close enough to the real thing). Is there anywhere in particular I should be looking, or is my best bet to just keep an eye on eBay for another one that hopefully won't cost me half as much as I paid for the lens itself?

I got a nice one at KEH a few months ago, and it was less than $20. As Bingley noted, they do turn up there from time-to-time.

As scarce as all Canon caps are, I always take mine off before I begin my shooting session and put it in my bag. I leave it there till I'm completely finished. I haven't lost one yet (fingers crossed).

If you're willing to part with yours, let me know. I'd be interested. The only thing protecting the lens at the moment is the plastic front cap from a M to LTM adapter, which actually fits quite nicely
