The only current, in production 50mm in the CV line up is the 50/1.1 which given its size, is really a specialist lens. Surely there must be another 50 in the pipeline. Anyone heard a rumour or is willing to take a guess... speed??? etc.

What's wrong with the Nokton/Heliar/Color-Skopar? Granted they are all out production, but they're not exactly hard to find nor are they overly expensive.

An M-Mount f1.5 Nokton with .7m focusing would be AWESOME. I had one of the screwmount ones and foolishly sold it. I wish it had focuses closer though.

There have been rumours a f1.4 lens will replace the discontinued f1.5, but I haven't heard any update on it for ages.
It would be nice to see them bring out a small 50mm 1.4.

A nicely sized 50/1.4/5 M mount would rock, 43mm or 46mm filter size.

The only rumors I have heard are the ones I have started myself. Unfortunately I have been proven to be a bad source.
