Usually, the "which one's better" polls are tremendously biased.
Hey! That's an idea for a poll: are polls biased?

... and by the way, she uses a DSLR and a zoom lens.
I personally think she deserves to be given an M9.

So many great ones that I didn't really want to pick, however; I picked Eggleston, Frank and Freidlander. Bruce Davidson I like too as well as most of the others. Jim

The best camera is one that still works!
I think Gabriel M A makes a good point about polls being biased. When participating in polls is purely voluntary it becomes more an exercise in who's actually interested rather than what a broad selection of our community here really thinks.
I just see them as good clean fun!

I don't do polls. However, I am always delighted to learn about new and old photographers. I like them all. They all offer a unique view on this world.

Most of the listed photographer, I do not know.
But I do know what I like and admire: Helen Hill and SimonSawSunlight.
Also impressed with the stand development shots from a fellow member called DisasterArea.

Robert Doisneau for me. I find him very complete in sense of composition in spontaneous moments as well as a good sense of light.

Never considered Shore as a street artist, but he, Eggleston and Soth are probably my favorite photographers.

Shore (as well as the other two) worked in the streets... at times. It's just that people have to narrow a definition of what street photography is and can be. Still life in the street is still street.
