Is it my imagination or are used MP's going through the roof in price and increasingly hard to find? I'm considering selling my BP version and am scared that I won't find a replacement when, inevitably, I want to buy another one.

Leica lenses have been appreciating greatly. As far as Leica cameras are concerned their prices always rise. More than likely if you sell your M it will be at wholesale and when you want to buy it back it will be at a higher retail than it is now.

Take it from someone who sold a bunch of stuff in spring, and just recently re-bought most of it...

DON'T DO IT..... if you are thinking of finding another one.

Fortunately, a couple of the buyers took sympathy and sent me the items back, for what they paid.

In a couple cases, I had to re-buy the item, at higher price and slightly not as nice condition.

If you are thinking of "taking profit", then, of course, sell. But you will discover that it is hard to find another one, and it will certainly be more expensive. And this is especially so, for lenses right now.

No point in selling your MP now if you are just going to buy another one later (at a higher price, no doubt).

DON"T DO IT... prices of everything will be going up substantially in the next 2-5 years. Why on earth would you sell it only to buy it later at a higher price?

Unless you are a collector, I reckon keeping BP is a good value. I have one and consider buy a chrome mp but it is too much to ask these days.

Don't do it, Leica has temporarily stopped production of MPs so prices are going up. If you need to buy back, you'll lose in the long run.
