I just finished cleaning these bad boys up, and am looking forward to shooting with them this weekend. I'm wondering which one will give the best results...

Beauties! Can't go too wrong with either of these, they are two of the best.

My bet is on the 35 SP.
I've had a CLA'd Canonet and the pictures I got from it is average at best. I know it's a popular camera, so I must have gotten a lemon. A CLA'd lemon, nonetheless

I'll be installing new light seals in a (chrome) Canonet I bought recently, and will soon be getting my black SP35 from Earl (trius) I hope, so I can do a comparo too.

What a treasure ! The QL17 is a great and easy user camera, but the Oly SP has a nicer lens.

I'm going on a short vacation later this week - I still haven't decided if I'm taking the 35SP or the CCN.
One of the two is coming for sure.

I'll bet on the Oly, though the Canon is no slouch.

I prefer the Oly. The Shutter button on 2 of the 3 canons I have had has had to much play in it. The lenses are all nice and sharp though. I bet IQ wise there will be little difference between these two. Congrats!

I liked the SP better. The meter works at all settings, unlike the Canonet, in which it only works when you set the aperture to A. I also like the spot meter function on the SP, you can use it to expose for shadows or highlights, it's a great feature. On the other hand, the Canonet has parallax correction, which makes it easier to frame when shooting close.
