NYU's Grey Gallery around the corner from the "Bitter End" has this Joel Meyerwitz exhibition of large format prints of Ground Zero.
The most inspiring lesson from this show is how he got to shoot where all other photographers were excluded because Ground Zero was considered a crime scene. He spent a year shooting down there. The catalog is available at the NYU bookstore at West 4th for $40.00.
Interesting how his talent as a street shooter opened doors for him. A clever man.

Thanks for the heads up. I couldn't find anything about this on the web. The Grey Gallery's website doesn't mention it.
Have to run over there to check it out. Any idea how long it's going on?

I'm sorry I don't. I was in the usual walking alone and exploring the city mode with a camera when I stumbeled into this exhibit.
One of the reasons why I live in NYC is just walking around and being spontainous.
Even if you miss the show check out the catalog at the NYU bookstore and read the intro. You will learn a lot and get some great insights from Joel Meyerwitz as he spills the beans of how he gained got access.

At Bruce Silverstein Gallery, there's a show entitled "Self-Reflections: The Expressionist Origins of Lisette Model". It's pretty incredible. A very cleverly curated exhibition.
