Canon LTM Auto-Up & Barnack?

Will work a Canon Auto-Up for 50/1.8 when mounted on a Leica?

Apparently no one but you even owns a auto-up. was going to get one but yours is the only reference on the forum. I just deleted my question a few min.'s ago🙁. I just can't chance a tool that doesn't work. Good luck to you. RED

I don't own one, just a barnack and the canon 50/1.8.
I was thinking about purchasing one and would love to hear any experiences...

The Leica and Canon viewfinder/rangefinder are completely different, so the Auto-Up won't work. It's a good excuse to buy a Canon bottom-loader.😉

I used one on an RD1 with good success. If the windows line up it will work.
Here is a sample I posted last week. Great colors. I needed to stop down more for DOF/detail.

I used a Canon 1.5 Auto Up on a Leica IIIb and it didn't frame properly.

Andy, very nice picture. About how close did you get? My Canon lenses are a 35 2.8 and a 50 1.8. and yes you can't turn down Mom---- it's just not done!
