Does anyone know of a good source for current second hand prices on M film bodies?

I'm about to sell my M6 classic & TTL but cosmetically they're pretty scuffed up and no online dealers seem to have anything but mint or Exc + examples for me to get an idea of a realistic price.

I know, asking about pricing is a can of worms but I could really do with a starting point.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Try KEH.com and look at their ratings explanations. They have seemed a bit high lately but the are very good with customer service and warranties.

Simon,

Heavily used M6 Classic cameras usually go for between £600 - £700, and a heavily used M6 TTL for between £700 - £800.

Hope this helps,

John

Thanks for the replies. KEH has a very useful quote system which I've just used so thank you for pointing them out to me, I must admit being in the UK I'd been looking through UK dealers for an idea of price.

John, If I can get £600 for my 'classic' I'd be delighted as thats what I paid for it five years ago when it was virtually pristine.

I may take a punt in the classifieds here first, due to the heavy scuffing (inflicted by a colleagues son who I foolishly lent them to) I'd be happy to accept a slightly lower offer from someone here that would actually use them than try and eek out every penny and not get a sale on ebay or similar.

I'm trying to sell off all the kit I don't use or use often to finance a second digi M body, so expect a flood of OM gear soon too ;)

Thanks again
Simon

I check out eBay all the time by adding items that I am interested in to my "Watch" list and see how the prices progress over time.
For rare items I save the search so I will receive an email once that item is listed.
Also keeping an eye on the classifieds section of this great forum and see how fast something sells is a great way to learn what the best price is.
If it doesn't sell its to expensive....

Searching the completed listings option on E-Bay gives another option to the KEH prices. Completed listings gives you insight to what things actually sold for in the past while eliminating those over-optimistic prices that never result in a sale.

Unfortunately for the OP, cosmetics seem to over-emphasized in the pricing of used equipment. But it certainly works in my favor as a buyer.
