Welcome Back to RFF!

Clicking my favorites link that normally takes me to the main page, brought up the "RFF is having problems" notice just about 10 to 15 minutes ago.

Are we staying with this ISP after all this grief? What about going back to where we were? (Could be a good subject for a poll.)

It's back but it's not happy!

I keep getting pages timing out and actually got the dreaded 'white page of death' there for a half hour or so!

Fingers crossed.

Yes, VERY slow loading, especially for the first page. Probably too many of us RFF addicts.

I'm also amazed at how long recovery has taken. I've run web servers in a university environment. I can't imagine how a large company with multiple servers servers and RAID could be down for too long, unless the problem was with connectivity to the outside.

Oh well, I, for one, realize how much I like RFF, and will help support the site, if called upon.

Thanks Stephen - what a mess. One felt like an addict being told to go "cold Turkey" - tried the Forum at least 2-3 times a day - to no avail.
Hope it will stay put now - it is too stressful to comprehend another 'crash"
However, got a lot of film developed and scanned, read several books, dis-mantled a F3 to find out why the meter circuit was acting up - but none of that matters without the RFf- fix!

You probably just have that page in your local cache. Delete your cache and you should get the regular site no problem.

I my name is Ken and I'm a RFF-aholic. The DT's were getting pretty scarey there. Thanks for getting me my fix!

Yeah, I pulled up RFF's homepage stored in local cache & got all excited just to stare at it for awhile... boy I'm glad you're back, sure missed everyone! :D

Woo!! hoo!!!! I'm never gonna grumble about a gear, bag, or film vs digital thread again. :D Not that I did in the first place. & Picket can start all the 'film is dead' threads he wants.;):D

RFF was up and down for a bit but seems really snappy now! No grumble from me, either. I didn't realize how much I'd miss RFF until it disappeared.

Thank god... I do like Flickr, but to be totally honest, that bright white background gives me a headache after a while.

RFF is much easier on the eyes!

Thank goodness...great to have this back. I really missed it as well.

Best regards,

Bob

Nice to have RFF back on the air
