fellow passenger on local mass transit - Sancti Spiritus Cuba (Yes, this is their equivalent of a local bus. And yes she was a passenger when I got on)

Although several years apart, these were both taken at the 4H heifer show at the Central Florida Fair. Both of these young ladies were incredibly poised as I did not say a word but just smiled and lifted the camera with these results. The one holding the ribbon just pulled it out of her pocket and held it up. Both of them made me feel like I was shooting those professional models that make you look like a better photographer than you are.

Actually, they are trained to do that. Presentation is part of the judging, and if the presenter is not affable, and well groomed, then no matter how wonderful the animal is, they will not win a ribbon. It's all part of the overall 4-H package of bringing up young folks to handle life when they become adults.
