Hello all. I have started a Project 366 with my new GRD3. I intend on uploading a new b&w shot for each day of 2012. Since I have finished my first week, I thought I would share the link. I am not normally a 28mm shooter so I am adjusting to that focal length. Hope you enjoy.

I faved that 1st shot & made you a contact on flickr. Will look forward to seeing your results as you adapt to the 28mm. That Ricoh is one of the few digitals I'd love to have.

Thanks for the encouragement. 28mm is definitely out of my comfort zone.

The GRD3 is a nice little camera and produces great b&w. Small enough to fit in my back pocket.

I'd like to see these in color.

I feel like they could have a nice William Eggleston-y look to them. Although I'm a black and white film shooter primarily, I really like what you can get out of the GRD3 in color.

I felt the same way about 28mm when I first got my GRD2 (which I later replaced with the GRD3), but I got used to it. I think the fact that the images are more square than 6x4 is a factor. Another factor might be that it is so unintimidating that I get a lost closer to people than I might with other cameras.

I look forward to following your project.

i am doing something similar, kind of not by choice. i purchased a 5d mark ii just after christmas, but decided it wasn't for me. i'm holding out for a nikon DSLR. but for the time being, my little GRD3 will take my 366 pictures.

i like your photos, btw.

Shooting with only a GRD3 is not so bad. I'm really enjoying it. I do see a pattern emerging in my photos so far. I tend to only look up. lol.

Anyhoo, I have also started a separate flickr set for the days where I take lots of photos and don't know which one to select for the day. It can be found here.
