Oddly, the attached is a failure -- at least from a lighting perspective. I think I needed another light on the background so that the background would "pop" but the skin tones did not have to be so light. But: you try, you fail, you learn. Now in the original file on my computer, you can count the eyebrow hairs on the subjects. The 75 Summicron is sharp! Having said all that, the family pictured will be pretty happy with the image. They were over for dinner and to help me test out a lighting set up. Dinner: crepes with braised chicken, wild rice, flash-sauteed kale and chickpeas roasted with soy sauce and sesame oil. Yum.
