Congratulations Memphis. It is a lovely camera. I use it for exclusively for travel when I don't feel like lugging my RF gear. I'd recommend 2 accessories that I found very useful:
1. Self-retaining lens cap (like the Ricoh LC-1, which will fit perfectly, or one of the knock-offs). You don't need to worry about taking off and putting back the cap. See this chap's write up on installing it. It's very easy. http://ianho.blogspot.com/2008/11/ricoh-lc1-auto-lens-cap-on-leica-d-lux.html
2. The screen is tough to see in very bright daylight, and so a 28mm external finder is helpful. I especially like the tiny Voigtlander 28/35 mini finder, but they are now getting tough to find, and somewhat pricey.
Enjoy the DLux4 or its twin, the Panny LX-3. Best,
JMQ
