M6 / M6ttl top plate

Is there any difference in size from the classic M6 to the newer TTL versions?


I have two M6's one classic, one ttl.

But the ttl has a laser etched name on it and I was wondering if i could put the cleaner classic on.


As well as the bottom plates. (Cameras have film in them or i would try)

The M6 TTL Top plates are a couple of millimetres taller than the M6 Classic to accomodate the TTL electronics. You would not be able to put a M6 Classic Top plate on a TTL. AFAIK

The bottom plates are interchangeable in this case though.

Clovis is right, and, like the M6 top plates, the M6TTL plates are clean, not engraved with anything except on the rear, close to the viewfinder, where the line "Made in Germany" is the only text.

The first owner laser'd his name on, is why i was asking, And I did know that the ttl was taller, but wasnt sure if it was top or in the middle
