hi guys, I was browsing around FilmFestival's ebay store and I found this Rollei Film.
Any thoughts about this film?
thanks

I shoot this film as my current standard film, my current toughs are that it's not true ISO 400, since shadows and highlights both are very sensitive.
I develop in D76, which gives a fairly high contrast (even with low contrast lenses, such as the coll. 'cron).
The grain is very fine, and is well suited for scanning.

The PET base dries perfectly flat every time, and is very tear resistant. It is however sensitive to light, so be sure to load in subdued light. I had a very peculiar issue, where the light seemed to follow in the base far into an IXMOO cassette, spoiling the first 4-5 frames.

Next up, I'm going to try pulling it to 200. Also I'm planning on souping it in microphen, to draw some more shadow detail out.

This Film has a different characteristics (harder) than ohers, because it is original an aerial Film. Exposed at 400 it is a little to dark in the shadows. Got better results & shadows at 200 & developed in Promicrol 1+14 for 16 Minutes. Also beware of the lightpiping because of the clear Filmbase, load in dark light or at least in the shadow. Also it is sensible to infrared, so ya got an cheapo IR-Film.
