Hello everybody!!

I've been offered a full R-1Ds, + Nokton classic 35mm f1.4 (like new), for about 1400 €, that it's about 1843 USD...

Do you think it's a good price?
How much money does usually cost the Nokton 35mm 1.4, in second-hand market?

I'd prefer a Nokton 40mm 1.4... I'm not sure if I should try to get the R-1Ds alone... and get the Nokton 40mm ...

What do you think ? :bang:

Thank you very much in advance.

Great regards from Spain !!!

Bye.

Seems a bit pricey, I paid 650 GBP or about 785 EUR for the R-D1s I bought last week.

I got mine on eBay which I think is a great place to buy from because the cameras are not so sought after so they often go unsold. I found one that was almost finished with no bids and emailed the seller an offer.

Thank you very much to you all.

I'll try to make an offer to the seller, and try to continue seeking for a mint R-1Ds on eBay...

Thank you very muchh !

Best Regards !!

Miguel

Maybe you would consider giving up on mint condition, R-D1s are out on the market for quite some time now, and the line is discontinued so I have to guess that they would be used and would look used. I know mine is..., but the point is that this camera is built to work, so even if it doesn't look like new it is probably working well, and I think you should focus on that when you search a camera, also it might be cheaper...

Good luck and I hope you find one, it's a great camera.

Yeah, the one I got isn't mint, it's got some paint loss on the corners but nothing that would suggest abuse. Everything feels as tight or as smooth as I imagine it should too.

Hi there !!

It doesn't mind me if the camera doesn't look like new...

I only want that it works and that it isn't misaligned... but far away from the camera and seller, I don't know how to probe it... that's the reason to ask for a mint condition camera...

Actually I'm looking every ad I find... :)

Thank you to you all for our kind words !!!

Regards,

Miguel

to me, 1400 for the set sounds pretty good, actually. The lens is € 480,-- new so that leaves € 920,-- for the body. Not that bad if everything is ok with it.

If you are looking on ebay are you searching 'Espon' in the digital camera section?

I had been searching 'R-D1', 'RD1' 'RD-1', 'RD' and 'R-D' and getting only one or two results then I searched 'Epson' and got about 10.

Yes, I'm searching with "Epson" and several other ways of spelling...

Until now, the ones I've seen have been too priced for my budget...

Thank you, kanzlr, also for your words...

Ola,
I think it is over the top by 150 to 200 Euros => not much, really.
Beware of the mistake which would be to convert from EURO to USD because the USD has been a very weak currency, one is mislead by the apparent low prices of USA-sold items. This is related to the local buying power in local currency.
I recently saw a mint 2nd hand Nokton at 350Euros, R-D1 in mint cond can reach 1000Euros, but as they rarely are, price seen on a dedicated forum was more around 900-950Euros - which is rather cheap.

Hi, I know something about looking of Epson in mint condition, I had lucky buing my piece from a friend who had Rd-1 as the 2nd backup to analog Leica.
I still have it thinking on sale (different photo ideas, you know :), the problem is the same - the pricing and the distance. In my country market for such cameras doesn't really exist.

My R-D1 looks pretty beaten up; paint scratched off the metal bits, signs of rubbing/wear on all the corners.

Almost everyone comments on how cool it looks, it's a beauty. The wear n' tear makes it more charming IMHO. And, I don't think twice about chucking it in a satchel when I'm on my way out of the door.

The key thing is that it all works great - I had it checked over but no need for any adjustments.

Paid £1100 for the R-D1 with a CV25 from a shop in London that was willing to offer a 1 year warranty on it.

Thank you Tobin....

The problem is that buying from so far places makes me feel no self-confident...

But I'm trying to solve it ;-)

By the way, the original offer has gone...

But I have another interesting offer... so interesting... what a pitty, that now I have bought a good prime lens and have no more money... :( :D

Regards !!!
