The chrome matches better...

...with my M.Zuiko 12mm f/2 and 45mm f/1.8 µ4/3 glass.

Moreover, the combination of black leather with a chrome finish means the body will go rather well both with my gray my black lenses.

Almost three times more black than chrome fans. So if the OM-D becomes a collectors item 50 years from now, it's better to buy a chrome one.

Or buy one of each. Use the black one but don't unseal the chrome one's box. When the time comes, advertise:

back to the somewhat original topic:
I voted black... but I saw a chrome one when the Oly rep was in the shop yesterday.
It's MUCH nicer looking in real life than in the photos, and I would probably go with that over the black.

It is nowhere near as good-looking as the original OMs, but if I had to choose one, I'd take black.

(there's something about the shape of the prism that gets to me -- can't put it into words)

Maitani designed some of the most erotic camera bodies imaginable. The prism on the OM-1 was pure eros.

That was the word RealXenius was reaching for and falling short of as well. Some people just can't face or admit what really turns them on.

I usually prefer chrome cameras. I just hate the look of the chrome EM-5, with the black panda dials. Wish the black was more a crinkle/magnesium alloy look, but oh well. For that I'll have to wait for the E-1 retro makeover.
 
Black - and I hope I will enjoy it even half as much as I do my OM-1. As a side note - if I screw in the hot shoe on my OM-1, it also creates a rather unsightly prism bump so I'm kinda used to it.
 
I ordered a silver one ONLY because I'm getting the 12mm and the 45mm lens. And those only come in silver
 
Black, and with the correct features and good enough image quality for my wife's family photos and videos + a useful 2X Magnification factor for my favorite bird lens, the Olympus OM 350/2.8.
