Hello everyone. I recently picked up a fuji GS645 in great condition and was wondering if you all have any tips to keep the life of the camera running full steam? Mostly I'll be using it for portraits at nighttime and currently use a vivitar 285 for my needs. Does anyone know of a smaller flash that has the same flash power as the 285? My project for this camera is to store my gear in pockets and have the lightest rig possible.

Welcome to the club! I've had mine for over 20 years now and these are my tips: Never force anything! The Fuji is not a delicate camera but certain items can be easily broken if you are heavy handed. Always make sure the shutter is cocked and the lens is set at infinity before closing. When closing up the camera, use gentle but firm pressure on the bar in front of the lens and close in one quick motion. If it won't close, just make sure that the shutter is cocked and the lens set at infinity and try closing again.
