That's an intresting observation. Now that I think about it, I've always liked old stuff, vintage & great design. The design of the 40's, 50's and 60's is particularly beautiful.
I use a Leica M2, listen to vinyls (LOVE the Beatles), have lots of vintage Ludwig drums and my clothing nods heavily to classic aesthetics although I don't shop old clothes that much. Then again I also enjoy using the Apple trilogy (MBP, iPad, iPhone) alot, listen to a lot of mp3s and Spotify with my Genelecs. The only thing that doesn't fit is my car, an Opel Zafira. It works well but it's BORING in every way.
On my to-buy-list (or dream list) I have for example: 1) An old car, perhaps a 60's Volvo Amazon? 2) An old motorcycle, Indian or Triumph. 3) An old mechanical watch. 4) Rolleiflex 5) Hasselblad 500.
As a young musician, I don't exactly bathe in money, so it takes a while to aquire that stuff, but it's stuff that'll probably last and give joy for a lifetime.

I'll go with Teuthida: There does seem to be a slight strain of the Luddite here..but then, "the Golden Age was never the present one."
So.....50 years from now, are people going to be pining for the days when they had REAL cameras like the M9, and cool cars like the Prius? Will future audiophiles be into those long-gone things called "CDs", and listening to the "classics," like Lady Gaga?

I would take a horse over any old English or Italian car, way more reliable and smell better too. My VW Beetle was great but I prefer my Toyota Corolla and as much as I loved my Laverda it could be a pain.
Not very musical but I would like to try a Ukulele it's got 4 strings and I got 4 fingers so what could go wrong.

Watch: my father's Cyma circa 1941 with ordnance mark.
Car: I had to scrap the 1994 Twingo this year —rust— replaced with '06 Citroën C2

I used to be more into "vintage" than I'm today. When I was ~20 (early 1980s) I wore the clothes from the 50s/60s - I've inherited a lot of stylish, hardly worn, stuff from a cousin who was in diplomacy and passed away before his time. Some girls seemed to appreciate those clothes. 😉
Early on I used my father's Kiev RF, already "vintage" by that stage. Also, my first car I inherited from my dad, it was a Ford Cortina - it could count as vintage today had it not died in a puff of smoke ~1990.
Today, I don't own a RF (I'd love a Zeiss Ikon ZI I hasten to add, not wanting to be thrown out of the RFF 😀). My car is a soul-less Kia. I am getting to quite like dSLR Nikons (and am dreaming about that D800!)
I have more books on my e-reader than paper, and more music in mp3 than on any type of disc. I have darkroom gear (enlarger and all), but am spending much more time upskilling in Photoshop.
I like to mix the old with the new, as much as I can. It contributes to my sense of timelessness. 🙂

Yes, because it is different, feels different and makes me feel relaxed when shooting with it. I have to take my time, compose carefully and shoot.

Yes. From a psychological point of view, people thinks that every past year was better, because the mind tends to forget bad times easier than nice times. It is a form of self defense. Vintage timepieces are living proofs of those good moments of the past.
Do you like vintage cars?
Although I do not own one.
Do you often listen to classical music?
Sometimes, yes. Although I am not excited or well educated about it.
Do you play a musical instrument of any kind?
A hard rocking guitar!

This made me smile. I really do think many things lost some quality, character, maybe even pride. I mean seriously, whenever I see modern cars driving around, I really have to try hard not to feel disappointed by the lack of.. well, let's keep it simple and say 'everything'. Apart from a few ok or beautiful models of course.
I listen to vinyl because it actually makes me sit down and listen to it- or at least listen to it and turn over the record, be aware of the music. I use mp3's or the radio whenever I need 'wallpaper' as I call music when I use it as a background sound. (this might sound odd in English.)
I've been a bookworm since I was a kid. I don't read as much as I did then, I tend to keep on reading until I finish a book or an entire series of books.. and that usually isn't practical when I need to get stuff done (or need to sleep)
And, don't get me started on fashion. I think style fled and hid from the eighties, and then it just never came back.

however, to expound on my voting: i have 2 Leica IIIs, a 1970s/80s Omega Seamaster, a 1980 VW full camper van (not too vintage, but 33 years old aint bad, i own and wear vintage clothes mostly from 50s-70s, i like old vintage motorcycles, but have my eye on a modern BMW dually, have played around with the ukele. I like old literature, but dont read the classics anymore. Not in the poll, but I collect vintage kitchen gear; pyrex bowls, espresso equipment including an Italian Conti Prestina that I am restoring. Perhaps most vintage gear i have is in mid-century furniture: couches, bed frame, lamps, music posters, credenzas, dressers, display cabinets. I listen to vintage music (jazz mostly) but not thru vintage gear, though I do use vacuum tubes in my set up.

Wow... this IS an interesting group.
My first "car" was a 1950 Ford F-1 pickup. I loved it when I was 16. It was hot in the summer, cold in the winter, got stuck regularly, rode like a rolling rock, and required almost daily maintenance. I'd never want another. I bought and restored two FJ-40 Land Cruisers. I love Series III Land Rovers. I'd always wanted one until I drove a '73 110 about fifteen years ago. My FJ 'Cruiser is a LOT more comfortable, more reliable, and just as competent than either the FJ-40s or the SIII.
I remember fountain pens. They stained everything they touched, dried out, and didn't work when you needed them to. Mechanical watches were great, as long as they worked... mostly unless you bought really expensive ones, they didn't work very well. MP3 files don't scratch and you don't need a physical library to store them in. I've had old bikes... I prefer a modern front triple, 9speed setup on my recumbents, thank you.
Clothes? Modern fabrics are a LOT more warm and easy to care for. Watches? I do have a twenty-five year old Tag-Heuer quartz watch that is still working well and is simple and understated. Perhaps that's vintage?
No, I'm sorry... I like quality, but I like to be comfortable. I like quality products but I like comfort, ease of use, and reliability. I lived through the '50s, '60s, and '70s and used a lot of the products of the day when they were new. High quality products today are often head and shoulders above the "vintage" stuff, IMHO. I do like my Leicas tho. 😉
