I had considered this. Give to some charities too. Then maybe buy one or two cameras with three or four lenses to cover all I might shoot. I would not go hog wild on camera collecting. Instead I'd do some traveling and take some photos.I would give several relatives a few million Dollars to ease on them their lives.
Then I would set up my family for life.
So far you have to remove a decimal point because I spent $10.00 and bought ten tickets quick pick cash. Perhaps I'll drop another $10.00 and double my odds.
I don't think it works that way Cal...

well, I won't win because I don't buy lottery tickets. the EV of the ticket is lower than it's price.
if someone gave me 540 million dollars I would pay off my student loans and 100% of the rest would go into a fund that paid for medical expenses for the poor.

540 million dollar?
I would buy film of it.
But Kodak would have to make TX for me, which contains platinum instead of silver...
For more valuable photos...

1. Give away some millions to relatives and friends.
2. Quit my job to have more time (not because I wouldn't like it).
3. Buy several M9 and at least one copy of each lens you can buy from Leitz and Zeiss.
4. Buy the new Fuji, the new Olympus etc. to compare.
5. Play around with them, pack the favourites.
6. Travel, travel, travel...

I'd open a studio/loft, have it paid off till I die and do my job like it was a hobby.
I'd also hire someone to develop and scan my b/w for me.
Then I'd buy a zorb.
Lots of beer and throw lots of parties.

This is a real honest answer. There are many stories of people running into lots of money and blowing it. Its not easy to manage money/capitol.
The smart thing to do is preserve the capitol and just spend the estimated 10-15 million of annual interest.
Still I personally know some rich folk who are actively destroying their trust funds.
Managing a foundation and performing good that is perpetual would be my goal. I already have a rich life.

Why isn't it: 1 : 176,000,000 ?
The probability of winning with one ticket .... Odds should be like a probability and not 1/probability. If the odds get close to 1, then it is almost certain to happen.

Very true, but I'm an exceptionally lucky guy. All kinda of fortuitous things happen to me all the time. Perhaps this is one of them.
As you know no one ever got rich by paying taxes, but I'd have no problem giving the government their fair share if I won.

WOAAH, its up to 650+ now..the game has now changed for me.
I was going to say I'd buy an m10, but that just isn't grandiose enough now that its this high...
I'd continue the course with my life, cause i like it, but definitely travel more.
I'd donate a million to my 10 fave environmental organizations, and another 10 million to various humanitarian orgs. Setup my family and best friend. I'd probably donate to the candidate of my choice, but i'll keep politics out of this
