Really good article. I understood and agreed with nearly everything he said (although I don't quite get why it seems easier for him to find focus w/ a rangefinder camera. For me, an SLR is easier, but different strokes for different folks). He sounds like a photographer's photographer. Anyone that goes out shooting w/ a Canon DSLR, a Holga, and a Leica rangefinder, digital or otherwise, is OK by me.
He also may be the point, counter point, to all the online lusting over the new Fuji digital "rangefinders". Their files sure look good, but about that lag....

Definitely worth a read. Burnett has had tremendous staying power -- a top news shooter for four decades. Currently on contract with TIME (says his website) and a founder of the Contact picture agency.

I really like Burnett, and I like how he's willing to do photojournalism with absurd setups. Very creative dude, would love to take a workshop with him despite his humility about his ability to teach.
