Woooooohooooo my OM-D was delivered personally by our local dealer just now and charging the battery. I'll give it a swing over lunch
. We have a long Holiday (Lenten Season) of 5 days and will just take this camera, Panny 20 1.7 and the Oly 45 1,8. I got just the body packaged with 8 GB SD card, Olympus mini display camera, mini tripod and the small flash.

woo-hoo for you.

Thanks Paul.
The use of a lever to open/close the battery compartment instead of push pull window is a great tactile operation when inserting and taking out the battery, it seems sturdier, the SD slot is in a separate compartment. Black OM-D with Panny 20 1.7 really looks good. Tried the 45 1.8 and it's not that bad as what others are saying.

Hahaha I will surely do that. Thinking to convert my EP3 to B&W IR. I'll rad some info from the net about this and see if it's worthwhile.

Snapshots during lunch, no sharpening just some slight levels ISO800 and 200 with Panny 20 1.7

Does it hum?
How does it feel in hand?
Too small?
Is the user interface good, or unbearable like on the E-P1? (sold mine because of that)
Focus fast and accurate?
Have you tried any manual lenses yet?
EVF?
and most importantly, are you happy with it?
I can't wait to get mine.

Man am I jealous... I love my EP-2 with 17/2.8 and 45/1.8, but I am really lusting after the OM-D. Have not put in the request to my CFO (wife) yet since I just purchased a new Epson R3000 printer. I'll be checking the OM-D out in person as soon as they are available in the US.

Please see my reply in red.
Does it hum? It does when you put near your ears it's like a very soft breeze (looks like something is continuously running inside) though not audible while shooting
How does it feel in hand? I'm medium sized gloves and I find it easy to hold , the padded thumb rest is like a thumbs up feel
Too small? Not really for me actually sleek
Is the user interface good, or unbearable like on the E-P1? (sold mine because of that) UI is easy and simple, used it without reading the manual no problem
Focus fast and accurate? Oh yeah focus is very fast not really tested the accuracy but looks like it is
Have you tried any manual lenses yet? Nope and I don't intend to use manual focus lenses I have other RF for that purpose
EVF? EVF is IMO a bit better than the EVF-2 which I also used with my EP3
and most importantly, are you happy with it? Initial impression I can say I'm very happy
I can't wait to get mine.

I can say sometimes being small and near Japan helps. Same as with the X100 when it came out.

Gil,
I think your shots of the OM-D give a very good perspective of the real camera. Not a product shot, but better, at least in my opinion. Thanks for posting them. GAS is building!
