Kodak Blog Post Makes My Day

Funny, I and I'm certain many other of its lovers, ID'd the Tri-X immediately. Nice work, Steve. How do you like the new Portra 160? (I just got back my first batch and was very impressed -- even momentarily stunned.) Do you shoot it at 160?

Very cool.

Now we need to figure out a way to convince Kodak to bring back 126 Instamatic film for its 50th anniversary in 2013 !!

"Why mess with Apps? Shoot the Original. Kodak Instamatic Film celebrates 50 years with a special release. So get out your Instamatics and shoot some Real Photos!"

I did shoot at 160.
What the article doesn't tell you is that show was accidentally (oops) cross processed in bw chemicals.
The cool color is a complete accident.

Had an enthusiastic discussion on twitter the other day regarding Kodak bringing back 620 film as a promotional thing.
No big deal to make some spools, load them with current film, make some retro packaging... Encourage people to shoot the old brownies.

Steve, that is great. The photo they chose is a beautiful one; I like the lone man on the pier. I wish they would have used the real names of you and the others instead of forum usernames; all of you deserved the recognition that you can really only get with your actual name. There were some great photographs there.
