[converted the sign to B&W in Aperture; both shot with an M8, Summitar ... probably should dismount that darned yellow filter...]
 
I think there is an element of "Freudian slip" in this one. I have always been amused by the photo - of course I carefully composed it to get the word life in. I kinda like the idea that the guy in the stature is finding life so burdensome. I think the inscribed sign actually reads "Life Assurance House" or somesuch.

Peter, great image. Lovely rendering. And, a good eye for "life."

I'm wondering, of course, if he's shouldering all that burden, why the heck do I have a backache?
