There was a thread recently where an OM finder screen went for a high price (£200?) on ebay. I can't find the thread. Could someone point me in its direction, please?

Wow. Prices have really gone up for these. Got a 2-4 screen with a professionally hand-etched grid about 6 mos ago for $85. But the screens are pretty spectacular. View through them, when focused, looks every bit as good (and has perhaps a bit more contrast) than one's actual eye-view.

A cheap alternative for a 2-xx screen might be the screen salvaged from a broken OM-40(PC). I tried it and the screen is brighter than the 1-14 I had in my OM4T.

The screens from an OM-40 are a bit brighter than a 1-13 screen, but are not as bright or as good as a 2 series focusing screen. I got an OM-40 screen and checked this out personally.

I luckily purchased a 2-13 screen for $100 and I'm a happy camper
