repair 90 elmarit focus ring

my 90 elmarit focus ring is very stiff, so I dissemble it. i remove the focus ring and the distance indicator ring. then the whole thing extands and recedes smoothly, which means it's not tradinational lack of lub. I figure out the stiffness is from between the distance indicator ring and the depth of field ring. shown in picture. Between this 2 rings there are some physical roughness and no lubricating oil. question is: should I lub it with oil or simply use sand paper to smooth the contact parts? Thanks in advance.

interesting, I just brought mine to a repairman for the stiff focus problem.

several good screw driver will do the job. unlike jupiter-8 which I hardly put it together after dissembing, leica would save a lot time for repairman i guess.

it's done by using both method... now it's smooth.
