I have several cameras that are my "favorites."
There's my first real camera, the Olympus OM-1MD. But the Olympus OM-4Ti ranks right up there, too. And of course the Rolleiflex 2.8E. The Leica M3 double-stroke is working its way to the top. The list goes on.
Am I alone in this madness?

I am going to go on a trip in a couple months, and have been trying to decide which cameras and lenses to take along.
I've narrowed down the list to my favorite cameras and lenses, and the list is too long - my car is too small for all that equipment plus my luggage.
How does one decide what to take and what to leave behind? Thank goodness they don't have feelings to get hurt.

You're not alone. I don't have a lot of cameras, but the ones I do are all quite different (rangefinder, SLR, different film formats) so not really comparable. I like them all.

I love them all... except those I hate. But I have no favourite.

Love my M7/MP/M6 TTL, all for different reasons...
M7-Easy breezy and great for low-light shooting and metering.
M6-It's a .58x mag, so it's perfect for my 28mm/35mm days
MP- just plain beautiful and lovely to use. Like my M6, but prettier
Loving my wet plate cameras the most recently, and just love shooting the process. Currently shooting a Shen Hao 4x5 (modern and convenient), and a Century 8x10" studio camera with Perken Son and Rayment lens from about 100 years ago.. I love the craftsmanship of the Century cam. Wood and brass from years ago still with plenty of llfe in them.

Have different cameras which I all use, but the favorite one can only be an M-mount camera and precisely the Hexar RF.

Have four film and two digital and love them all.
Some days love the 35 mm film, others the Medium Format Film, then on another day it can be digital.
Different horses for different courses.
If you have more than on child, can you love just one? . . . . . only have a favorite?

If I took a family trip I would never think of leaving one of the kids behind, so I would own (or borrow) a car big enough to hold all the kids. The trouble is, they'd have to sit on the camera cases if I took all the camera gear along too.

I've sold off the ones that weren't my favorites. Of course, I did buy back a Mamiya 7II...

My favorite camera is the M3, followed closely by the M6 and the Hexar RF and the Canon P and the Rolleiflex 2.8D and then the cute Zeiss Tenax II and the Konica IIIM and the Tele Rollei and then maybe the Leica IIIf and who knows what else ....

I buy only what I like, and sell what I don't use. So anything I have is a favorite for one reason or another.
