Hello,

I have develoved some rolls of Adox CHS 50 with Rodinal 1+50 for 10 min which gave quite nice results.

Today my frist 100 ft roll of CHS 50 arrived and there was a small leaflet inside with some development information.

It says: "Efke KB 50, Rodinal (1+12) 6 min"

Now I wonder what differences I would get when using 1+12 instead 1+50 ?

And are Elke KB50 and Adox CHS 50 the same emulsions right now?

Regards,
Thomas

1:50, definitely. I have no idea what they meant by 1:12, that would be a very low dilution for Rodinal. Stick to 1:50, 1:75 is good as well, and 1:100 for high contrast scenes to curb the highlights. (a bit longer dev time if higher dilution)

Clever way to advertise your stuff for sale. It would be nice if you would also support this forum and spend $5 on a classified add...

Excuse me? Woke up on the wrong side of the bed? What are you talking about mate. Idiot! I am trying to be helpful to OP, as opposed to you. Reported to mods,

Quite sure it should mean 1+25/6min.
Ignore the erroneous Efke-leaflet.
I don't know why Adox don't take them out.
I had good results following the MDC-dati for the start...

To add to the confusion I did my first Adox film a few days ago, CHS100 with Rodinal 1+50 for 10 mins came out nicely balanced. I lost the little leaflet but just bought a roll of CHS 50 and the leaflet for that says for Rodinal, 1+40 @ 9 min.

This means the older Rodinal formula (former Orwo/Calbe R09) recognizable by the other dillution ratio.
