Nice pictures but what happened with the first negative? Parallel scratches ......

Difficult light contrast situation in Jordan, maybe back to iso 6.

Just some scratches from my squeegy - this film seems to be terribly sensitive.. I've cleaned it up a bit now.

The contrast is a bit too high for me. I think I need to cut the development time a bit.

Schade 🙂

Never use a squeegee, a wet emulsion is so sensitive.
Use destilled water plus the minimum dose of wetting agent. Only the glossy side of a negative can have some mechanical contact. (natural sponge, but better not touch at all).

All micro films type have this problem to have quickly a steep developing curve, even with this special low contrast type developer.

But overall your pictures with this film are looking good.

Those pictures are beautiful!!! Thanks so much for sharing those.

No squeegee. I've ruined a roll or two myself before I learned that lesson. After the last 10 minute rinse (or longer) soak it in Foto-Flo, it's liquid dish soap (almost) and water, for about 30 seconds or so, then hang to dry or in a drying machine. No problems.

Hi Peter,

this film is not a real ISO 20 nor 12 film. With this exposure and data sheet development time you get a very strong S-shape characteristic curve with quite high contrast in the mid tones.
I've worked with this film very often.
From my experience I can recommend exposure with ISO 5-6 and reduced development time. Then you will have a normal linear characteristic curve at least up to Zone VII-VIII.
Much better tonality then.
That is not only my experience, but also the assessment of other film experts who have published their results with this film.
If you need more speed (ISO 32-40), but nevertheless outstanding resolution and very good tonality Agfa Copex Rapid with Spur Modular UR New developer is the way to go.

Cheers, Jan

Bob, thanks. It seems that highly diluted Rodinal and stand or semi-stand might control that awfully high contrast and narrow tonal range. I'm currently shooting a roll (it's CMS 20 II ... the new version) at 6 ISO and might go with 1+300 dilution. Honestly, I was shocked at the tonality given my previous experience with this stuff (at 20 ISO in Adolux, which is too expensive for my tastes).
