Rumor - June 27 new Fuji lens announcement. Fwiw

I recall very similar (if not the same) lens line to be unofficially pre-anounced at the time when the Xpro1 was announced. It was also for 2012/2013. So I pretty much take it for given. They could have made the 23 a stop faster though ...

Good news! i have decided adapted lenses is not a good solution for missing FL's on the Xpro-1. They work fine and give excellent results in most cases but, the compact size and nice balance of the native lenses is lost. Also focus is a bitch. Having that f2.8/14mm and a native fast IS 100-150mm telephoto will be great (hope they offer one rather than just a 70-210 zoom equivalent).

Yeah, the 70 - 200 is interesting to me. The advantages of RF + SLR all in one package. (I know it's not a rangefinder — it's better.)

U are right about what the rumor site is showing as a roadmap. I believe they are just using it as a reference.

The rumor was other lens not announced in the roadmap are going to be announced on 27th.

I am hoping they announce when the lenses scheduled for this year will be available. I want that 14. :p. :D.

its been (depressingly) reported that RF lenses do not perform well on the xpro. since you have a good breadth and depth of RF experience, have you found this is not the case, or only the case for specific subsets of lenses?

On my Xpro RF and also SLR lenses perform very well. At least when they are well performing lenses to start with. And as long as there are no Fuji lenses like a 24, 50/1.4, 80/1.4, 135 or even a 70-200, why not use the ones I already have?

Agreed. Good adapted lenses Perform very nicely on the Xpro1 in terms of IQ. I've used some of my RF lenses and Zeiss Contax reflex lenses.
The problem is focusing. The 10x magnification is nearly useless handheld for manual focus.
The refresh rate of the EVF is not right. It's like watching a stop motion/stroblight video.
As you turn the focus ring it's all notch and wiggly. It's not going to work without becoming more real time.
On a tripod, "live view" on the back LCD works pretty nice.

If Fuji can tweak a bit it would help things. I think a variable zoom magnification instead of fixed 10x for starters.

no one has had any issue with softness or soft corners (ive seen what i would call 'mushy' corners) on WA RF lenses?

Why does every thread on this camera have to include crap about M lenses? This thread is about Fuji's roadmap for proprietary lenses.

On the original fujifilm roadmap that particular lens was marked with an asterisk with the note 'subject to change'. Hopefully they bring it out a stop faster...

Woo hooo!

The 23mm f2 has been changed to a 23mm f1.4! This is going to make this one outstanding system. + the fast 85 equivalent!

The only thing that is missing is my favorite vacation zoom 16-55. This lens roadmap just shows that Fuji is in it for the long haul and is thinking about what the photographer wants not what the soccer mom needs.
