Dave, your shots remind me in a way of some of those pre-war shots by the German masters of the Leica (Dr Paul Wolff for example). Don't know what it is, certainly the buildings are not exactly Weimar republic, but there it is ...
And I must say that the photos in this thread demonstrate what photography is really all about. Just heart warming to look at them.

Shot this a couple of weekends back using my IIIc w/90 Elmar from the 30's on Fuji Velvia 100. Other than cropping the colors are how it came off the film.

The Lartigue shot ofcourse comes to mind, and the low contrast, soft colors thing of the uncoated prewar Elmar is sweet!
