This is probably a bad idea, seeing as I've just purchased this lens online... but how do you guys like this combination? Does it work well? Any kinks or problems?

I haven't seen any threads on this combo, so lets hear some feedback.

Reupload from another post...Wifey shot. Call me a purist but that piece of glass feels cheap cuz its plastic :/ Nothing to do with IQ but not sexy at all. 1.8 is sharp as you can see

it gets sexier with the hood. (I got knock-off JJC one) I'm actually liking lens/hood on my black OM-D a lot. Has a nice "tool" look too it.

I know what you mean Sug ... I've been using the 25mm I got from you with the hood mounted constantly for the same reason! :D

Aren't all the m.4/3 lenses are plastic, with the exception of the moster that is the Voigtlander 25mm 0.95?

Oly 12mm and the new 75mm are metal. 45mm is metal mount, plastic external barrel, with one ring (before the hood bayonet cover) being metal. It's sturdy and light weight helps in use. No creaking or paint peeling so far.

Ah ok, interesting. Personally I've found the plastics they use to be of pretty high quality. I have no problem using a plastic lens on a digital camera, because when I buy digital, I'm not expecting the camera to last me forever.
