Olympus 35 LE

Just came across an Oly 35 LE while walking around the city. The guy said it was broken but don't really know since the battery inside is dead. My question is what battery can I use? I know the LR50 is the supposed replacement but it's of a different voltage. Any advice as to what my options are? Hope I didn't buy a paper weight.

The lr50 alkaline battery willbe fine if you adjust the asa down by around 2/3 -1 stop.

Yeah that makes sense. Will have to track down a couple of batteries on eBay and test it out. My gut says its working. It's it near mint condition and even if it isn't working I'll get it serviced. I have a guy who can fix almost any camera. So is the LE is a rare bird? It's not easy to find a lot of info about it.
