Poly Pan F iso 50 film

"(ISO 50.... when was the last time
anyone shot at iso 50 ?!)"

I shoot 50 all the time with Ilford Pan F+ 50. It's one of the best I've found.

What is this?? I love it.

I shot a 90m can of the stuff.

It seems to be re-canned cine duplication film. The lack of antihaliation layer, the B&H perforations, very modest speed seem to suggest that.

Coat quality is poor, you have to do a lot of spotting work from the negs.

Ray,

The edited tigerdragon is superb - a real gritty feel to it

I have a large can of this, but have only shot one short roll so far - the springy estar gave me all sorts of problems in my Rollie 35, so next test will be in a Leica body.

I was lucky enough to use Polypan as a test roll with Nikon F, and hmm its kinda weird but I like it, after Mamiya 6 with Acros its totally different.

Polypan F (bit underdeveloped I think, but I was guessing dev time for Ultrafin+)

Polypan F @ 50 iso in Td 201 split developer. This was the 9th run of a 2000 ml batch and I increased the time in B to 4 minutes. Still a bit flat - but works here as it was pretty bright. The pollard is black iron with some lighter mark on it.
M6 and Summilux 50f1.4 Asph.
Only problem with the Polypan is that it attracts dust with a vengeance!

Fleabay. Seller named cameraboerse in Germany. Or search for Polypan F. Sold in 152 and 90m rolls. Different auctions priced in Euros and USD.

Quite contrasty if pushed, even just the one stop. But for night shots that may not be a bad thing. That and the halo effect. For daytime shooting I have not had much luck....

Erik
If I may ask, how long do you develop it in Caffenol (at ISO 100) ?
Thanks
Joao

Just shot two rolls of this. Somehow I have a feeling that it should be rated as ASA 125 or faster. Grain is very fine at ASA 64. For the price (~$50 for 500ft shipped), there is really nothing to complain about.

Development: HC-110 Dil H, 21 C, 19 min, 2 inversions per 2 min after inititial 30 seconds of constant inversions.
