Arri,

What did you get? Currently I have a new Beattie Intenscreen that has an oversized split prism. Very bright, but the original Nikon K screen has more contrast. This is the tradeoff.

I believe you got a new F3. I'll bring this grip I bought off the classified to show you that is for an F3. You know me and added grips. LOL. I also have the Nikon 28/2.8 AIS if you want me to bring.

Bought 100 rolls of 120 Arcos, but I need some 120 Tri-X.
Pretty well stocked up with 50 rolls Arista Premium and 50 rolls Arcos in 135. Overall have 250 rolls stockpiled and nearly a 100 rolls that need development.

Good to hear. I've been playing around with a new digital as a compliment to my pentax so haven't shot a lot of film in the last two weeks.

I got a olympus epm1 with kit lens. I wanted something really small and light that had half decent image quality. I was missing waaaaay to much pics with the pentax. I nearly pulled the trigger on a ricoh GRDIV but adorama had a unbeatable price on the Oly. I've been shooting with it for the last 2 weeks and the thing is amazingly fast to focus and very very light. The kit lens is the best ket lens i've tried from any camera manufacturer. I nearly bought a 14mm pancake but gave up on the idea considering how good the kit lens is.

Now I just carry the pentax and oly and carry less film. Same trade off in weight and I end up getting more pics. I'll bring it to the next meetup
 
Hey guys, I'm new here. Wondering if you all are interested in trades or bartering at all? Just wondering because it's been hard to find knowledgable people like myself who'd appreciate some things I have for sale or trade. My only intention in trading is to pick up some new things that fancy new interests of mine.

And yes - I am located in NY. Born and raised. Excited to have come across a "NY Photo Club" of sorts.

Extra-extra nerdy. Where else in the world do they have annual camera beauty contests? (No lie. Generally every February.)

I'll bring my extra snobby German 35 Cron V.4 for trade or for sale. Of course its a clean one with caps and hood.

Also know that after one meet-up the guys decided to decorate me like a Christmas tree. (See avitar.) LOL. Mostly we make fun of each other like although I have a grip fetish, John above has a serious strap fetish.

DISCLAIMER: Be aware that I have been known to "Daytrade" Leica LTM bodies, and that in a one week period I bought three of them from Adorama, traded two away, and sold one to a friend and within a week bought it back.

Anyways the September 30th Meet-Up is at Puck Fair at 1:00 PM.

Gear Alert: I'll be bringing my Nikon F3P rigged with a motor drive and Noct-Nikkor for Arri to check out. Also will bring an added grip for a Nikon F3 which is a very unusual item. Somehow I found one. LOL.

I don't have a strap fetish at all... I just buy expensive straps because they work right for me. Because you guys are too cheap to buy a decent strap, I get some flack... yet you'll all buy cases, grips, thumbs up, winders, soft releases, etc. 😉 I love you guys anyway. 🙂

Denial does not work. You have the strap market cornered in NYC. LOL.

The black paint Lecia II (model D) I bought back from you didn't suit you because it had no strap lugs. LOL.

At least I'm out of the closet with my grip fetish.😀

Just because I choose to have my camera around my neck so that my hands are free when I'm not shooting, doesn't mean I have a fetish. They give me no perverted pleasure, but rather serve a function. Having a camera glued to your right hand constantly is just not for me... feels like an albatross that way to me. 😉

Actually I am pretty excited about the cow hide strap that will come with the Monochrome.

Also know that I realize I go really crazy with accessories and pimping out my cameras. You don't call them "monsters" without good reason. LOL.
