NY Times Leica Celebrity Article - More evidence...This is the End

Nope, it's a M.

They corrected it.

"Correction: September 20, 2012

A previous version of this article was accompanied by a picture of Emmy Rossum holding what was incorrectly identified as a Leica rangefinder. It was, in fact, a Fuji digital camera whose design was inspired by classic rangefinders such as the Leica."

My favorite  quote in the article, from John Mayer's blog:

“I’ve learned that the guessing — maybe the intuition — of the settings is what makes a photograph special,” he wrote."

Let's see if he can guess - maybe intuit - the exposure settings of some of history's more "special" photographs. :D

Yeah, sounds like he's using his M4 like a high-quality Holga.

I don't see the problem. They're owning/using Leicas for the same exact reasons 95% of people here are....and you know it.

Glad there are no celebrities in my hood, except for me. :)cool:) The others are buried in Trinity Cemetery across the street.

Ah. Whatever happened to editors? Print stories first, let readers correct you later...

Celeb's have been using these camera's for year's, the problem is there
more gossip mag's and T.V. shows following them around taking pictures
of them with their camera's.

My favorite line in that article, John Mayer: "it's the guessing that makes [it] special."

And with that suggestion, I just threw three light meters in the trash. Hell, I can't music, but I'm sure I could guess about where to put my fingers on a vintage Martin to make some really find music (we actually have a hand-me-down Martin in the house that has been passed on to my son, so why not).
